Agasthiar Publications was established at Trichy by Shri V Subramaniam during 1943 and was inaugurated by the literary duo Shri Kalki R Krishnamurthy and Shri Rajaji.
The Name “Agasthiar” is one of the pen names of Shri Kalki Krishnamurhty.
Shri Agasthiar S Gopalakrishnan managed this publications after his father’s demise and took the publications to new heights by specialising in Hindi Publications.
The guides published by Agasthiar Publications for all the Hindi Exams conducted by Dakshin Bharath hindi Prachara Sabha is very popular among all the Hindi learners.Their master piece publication is that of the Award-winning Hindi – Hindi, Tamil English Tri-lingual Dictionary which was published during the year 1995, the first of its kind in India followed by another book – Hindi Learning and Speaking Course through Tamil and English.We’ve also published very popular books in genres such as College Text Books, Spiritual Books, Books to learn Carnatic Music and Tamil Literature.In the year 2015, we’ve opened a branch at T Nagar, Chennai and branch was inaugurated by the then Tamilnadu Governor Shri K Rosaiah.
Now the book shop is being managed by Agasthiar G Girish, Son of Late Agasthiar S Gopalakrishnan.
